Labour's Shadow Health Secretary Jonathan Ashworth's was hilariously interrupted by his children while live on TV - for the second time.
The Labour MP was speaking on the BBC about the government's response to Covid-19 when his daughter, Annie, gate crashed the interview.
Footage shows her making a surprise cameo appearance on the live stream of BBC News as she sneaks up on her dad.
Exhilarating footage shows her cheekily waving at the camera with a big grin on her face while her dad smiles awkwardly as he tried to get her out.
Mr Ashworth, who was talking about the Tory government's "monstrous" failure to give sick pay to those who had contracted Covid-19, tries nudging her out when he realised he had been interrupted.
At that point the BBC presenter told the Leicester South MP: "Well it's nice to see her, we are ruining her evening by keeping her dad up talking to on the telly."
The MP laughs as he replies: “That is Annie and she’s very excited, she’s very excited because it’s been Leicester City day at school today and we’ve got Leicester City in the cup final tomorrow.”
After a short while Annie reappears in the shot, swinging to the other side of her dad's chair as she keeps waving at the camera.
Her dad laughs as he tries to get her out.
Annie finally leaves as the presenter can be heard saying: "Thank you Annie, Bye".
The hilarious video has racked up thousands of likes on Twitter, with many commenting on how "humanising" of a moment it was for the Labour politician.
It's not the first time Mr Ashworth is interrupted by one of his children during a live.
In April 2020, his daughters zoom-bombed another interview with the BBC.
He can be heard saying: "I'm on the TV girls, I'm on the TV", as one of his daughters repeatedly shouts "Dad!!"
Mr Ashworth instantly likened himself to Professor Robert Kelly, whose BBC live interview in 2017 went viral when his two kids burst into the office and started acting up.
