Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer has tested positive for coronavirus and Angela Rayner will deputise for him at Prime Minister’s Questions, a party spokesman said.
Mr Johnson will face tough questions from MPs at 3pm today, ahead of a new statement on Covid restrictions and rules in England.
He is expected to announce relaxation on rules around travel and testing.
Experts today said it could be too late to bring in new restrictions as they would not be as effective as they would have been last week.
