The clock is ticking until we go to the polls on Thursday, December 12 in the first winter General Election in almost 100 years.
The snap election has caught many of us by surprise and political parties are frantically drawing up their list of candidates as campaigning gets underway across the city.
Labour won five of the eight Leeds seats at the 2017 General Election and will be looking to make further gains this time round, with Morley and Outwood and Pudsey in particular firmly in their sights after narrow Tory victories in these constituencies last time out.
In fact, shadow education secretary Angela Raynor has already been on the campaign trail in Morley and Outwood as the opposition pledged more free childcare for families across the UK.
