Labour activists pictured flyposting in key London battlegrounds

Labour activists have posted photographs of themselves flyposting in London’s key battlegrounds.

Leaked messages from a WhatsApp group reveal the campaign is carried out at night and run from New Cross, where posters are handed out “24/7”.

The messages talk of going out after 10pm to “get rogue stuff out” in key seats including Putney.

They claim group members are being advised where to target by a Labour official.

A member called Gabriel B posted images of activists sticking Vote Labour posters to phone junction boxes in Pimlico, drawing responses such as “great” and “yeeeah smashing it!”

Flyposting can attract on-the-spot fines of up to £80 and prosecution in magistrates courts.

Offenders can be charged for the removal of unlawful posters, stickers and bills.

Asked to comment on the flyposters, a Labour Party spokesperson said: “It’s time for a Labour government on the side of the many, not the few.”
