Premier Mark McGowan is the preferred leader of 83 per cent of WA voters, according to a Newspoll released three weeks before the state election.
The poll published in The Weekend Australian on Saturday indicates Mr McGowan's Labor is leading the Liberals by 68 per cent to 32 per cent on a two-party-preferred basis.
The survey suggests a thumping win for Labor at the March 13 election, with the opposition Liberals potentially being reduced to just two seats in the parliament.
The Newspoll said Liberal leader Zak Kirkup was the preferred premier of 10 per cent of respondents compared to the 83 per cent who favoured Mr McGowan.
The Liberals have conceded they stand little chance of winning the election and are instead urging voters not to let Labor take "total control" of the parliament.
"I wouldn't go so far as to say that it's a foregone conclusion but the reality is that it is going to be a difficult fight," Mr Kirkup said.
"If you have a look at Labor's wish for total control of the West Australian parliament, I think that could be a very dangerous prospect for the future of our state and the future of the parliamentary democracy which we live in."
Early voting starts on Wednesday and more than a million voters are expected to cast their ballots before polling day.
