ALL driver's licences and vehicle registrations should be automatically extended by at least three months to allow people to remain at home in COVID-19 isolation says NSW Labor.
Shadow minister for roads, John Graham, called on the NSW Government to make the changes to protect the health of residents.
"Given the Government's advice that people should stay home wherever possible, the Government should save people the usual run-around for driver's licence and vehicle registration renewals," Mr Graham said.
"The cost of renewing a driver's licence or vehicle registration will be an unwelcome burden for people who have recently lost their job or business.
"It's important people who are experiencing hardship can use their vehicles to access healthcare and essential items."
The NSW Government has already postponed driving tests for two months, unless urgently required, and age-based driving tests have been deferred for three months.
