Pop singer La Roux has revealed she got caught up in an unexpected feud with Kanye West after branding him “weird”.
The 32-year-old Bulletproof singer – real name Eleanor ‘Elly’ Jackson – says she was forced to write a letter of apology to 42-year-old rap star Kanye after her comments made their way back to him.
While Elly was happy to write a polite note to clear the air, she said she found American star Kanye to be “upsetting” and “unsettling” for the way he treated others – and found the demand for an apology “creepy”.
Opening up to Slacker podcast, Elly revealed all as she cast her mind back to working in the same music studio as Jesus Walks star Kanye.

She said: “He’s one of those people who’s not 100 per cent normal. You can’t talk about anything normal. You can’t just have a normal conversation.”
She continued: “He’s on show 24 hours a day, it’s just him. It’s kind of amazing to be around. I’ll never be around anything like that again. It was really strange.”
She went on to suggest Kanye attempts to create a response from those he interacts with, saying: “He wants people to walk away saying, ‘That was really weird’.”

However, the British pop beauty was left in disbelief when a mutual friend revealed to Kanye that she thought he was weird – prompting a demand for an apology.
Elly claims: “It was quite creepy. I remember writing it. I was sat there on my sofa loling to myself like, ‘Dear Kanye . . . ’ They told on me. It was ridiculous."
She continued: “I just wrote it all with a massive grin on my face – although they do actually have quite a lot of power.
“I was like, ‘I think I am going to genuinely apologise. It’s no skin off my nose to write this email’.”

She added: “I didn’t say anything bad about him. I just saw some behaviour – and it wasn’t directed at me – that I found upsetting and unsettling.”
In a recent interview with American GQ, Kanye opened up with his past battle with alcohol – revealing he used to drink vodka for breakfast.
The dad-of-four – who is married to reality star Kim Kardashian – explained that the Hollywood lifestyle and lavish award ceremonies were partially to blame for his battle with the bottle.

"Well, it’s good that we found out about all of those awards shows that partially led me to alcoholism. Whistle been blown, you know?" he said.
"People have called me a crazy person, people have called me everything—but not a functioning alcoholic. And I would be drinking orange juice and Grey Goose in the morning."
The rapper is now teetotal.
