LA mansion bought by Britney Spears in 2007 sold again three days after Framing Britney Spears documentary aired

Britney Spears's former LA mansion was sold earlier this year — three days after The New York Times's Framing Britney Spears documentary was first aired.

The singer, due to give evidence about her long-running conservatorship to a Los Angeles judge today, bought the infamous LA mansion for £4.8 million in early 2007 soon after filing for divorce from rapper Kevin Federline.

It's thought she only lived in the property for a short time, as her well-documented public breakdown began only a few weeks later, and within two months the property was back on the market.

In 2012, the mansion was sold to Australian venture capitalist Jeff Friedmann for £3.1 million, registering a huge loss for the Piece of Me singer.

Friedmann made some alterations to the property before listing it for sale a few years ago and selling it in February for £4.4 million.

A vast sum, yet still £400,000 less than what Britney paid for it 14 years ago.

The lavish house, which featured in the pop star’s documentary Britney: For the Record, has a huge kitchen and entertainment room, plus a private cinema.

Outside there's a saltwater swimming pool, alfresco dining area, fire pit and Jacuzzi.
