La Favorita delivery and collection service returns to Edinburgh after lockdown closure

La Favorita is resuming it's hugely popular pizza collection and delivery service in Edinburgh.

Those at the takeaway, based on Leith Walk, say they are now in a position to reopen after a temporary closure due to the coronavirus lockdown.

They add that their priority continues to be the safety of staff and customers, and a number of safety measures will be in place at the takeaway as a result.

A statement on their social media read: "As the country gradually eases into phase two, we're excited to announce the re-opening of La Favorita Delivered! The entire team is ready to go and we're delighted to be back serving our customers."

It added: "Our priority is always to keep our teams, customers and community safe. To do so, we are following government guidelines by having all staff wear masks and gloves. The restaurants are regularly sanitised and social distancing will be implemented for guests in and outside of our stores.

"Finally we want to thank all the members of our team and our customers for their continued support throughout this period. We're excited to begin serving our famous pizza to the people of Edinburgh again for both delivery and collection."

The collection and delivery service will be available between 5pm and 10pm Sunday to Thursday, and 3pm to 10pm Friday and Saturday.
