L'Oréal to launch Karl Lagerfeld make-up collection initiated by design legend

The fashion world mourned when Karl Lagerfeld died in February, but now L'Oréal has announced a beauty collaboration initiated by the design legend.

The beauty brand will be launching a Karl Lagerfeld make-up collection which promises to channel the designer's 'iconic rock-chic style, fused with a sense of Parisian elegance that is both classic and effortless.'

Excited fans will have to wait a little longer to get their hands on the limited edition Karl Lagerfeld x L'Oréal line though.

The collection will be unveiled worldwide on 20 Sept and will go on sale a week later during Paris Fashion Week.

'This line of make-up truly reflects the Karl Lagerfeld brand universe and what Karl loved in make-up - he often used eyeshadows as colours in his sketches,' says Caroline Lebar, head of image and communication at Maison Karl Lagerfeld.

It will be the latest in a series of L'Oréal's designer collaborations, following on from successful lines with Balmain and Isabel Marant.

There's no word yet on the actual products but expect plenty of Lagerfeld's signature black and white styling if L'Oréal's teaser image is anything to go by.
