Kang on the fight’s key moment

“His calf kicks were very good. I was a little surprised how good they were. I had to change things up to deal with them.”

Kang on the split decision

“I was a little worried with the scorecards when they said split decision just because of the calf kicks and how I had to change my game plan. Now I feel much more comfortable being in the octagon and fighting here. I’m enjoying it, even if it hurts sometimes.”

Kang on what he wants next

“I definitely, 100 percent, want to be on the (UFC on ESPN+ 23) South Korea card at the end of the year. I want a ranked bantamweight on that card. It’s in my hometown, so it would be amazing.”
