Kyogo talks up Celtic across the globe and insists his success is down to Parkhead pals

Celtic star man Kyogo believes his success is shared with all his Parkhead pals creating chances for him.

The Japanese forward has been a revelation - netting 13 goals in just 16 starts for Ange Postecoglou 's side.

But he's only scored three goals for his national team in 11 caps and two of those came in a 14-0 romp against Mongolia earlier this year.

Kyogo is preparing for Japan's World Cup showdown in Muscat against Oman and he paid tribute to his Premiership colleagues before the game.

He said: "At Celtic, I have been playing as a striker and I am really enjoying it and I am scoring a lot of goals.

"But I have to give the credit to my teammates at Celtic because they create so many chances for me. I have developed a really good understanding with them and I know when they are going to pass to me.

"I feel comfortable and we are getting results. I think I'm in a position where I can show my characteristics and strengths. I am playing with confidence at the moment.

"Celtic give me a lot of freedom and they put a lot of trust in me. I don't want to betray the trust they have given me. I play with a smile on my face there.

"I am obviously scored many more goals for Celtic than I have for Japan. I think you can explain that because I am usually playing in a different position for the national team.

"I know I need to score more goals for Japan though and it would be nice to start against Oman this week."
