Celtic star man Kyogo has been bizarrely accused by Noel Whelan of showing his current side "a lack of respect" after talking up the English Premier League.
The 26-year-old has been a revelation in green and white since arriving from Vissel Kobe - netting eight goals in all competitions.
But former Aberdeen and Leeds striker Whelan has been irked by the Japan international's respectful admission that doing well for Celtic could lead to interest from England.
Kyogo stated at the weekend that he thinks "good results" could open a route to the richest league in the world, if he continues to turn heads at Parkhead.
Celtic have successfully developed the likes of Virgil van Dijk, Victor Wanyama and Odsonne Edouard before they moved to England - a key selling point in tempting rising stars.

But unimpressed Whelan isn't having it and has warned Kyogo to worry about Celtic rather than what could come next.
Speaking to Football Insider, Whelan said: "Right now, he has to concentrate on the club who signed him.
“Rather than talking about speculation about the Premier League, first and foremost he has to do his job with Celtic.
“If he does that job right, then speculation will come his way and there will be offers.
“The last thing that Celtic will want to hear right now is him talking about the Premier League when he’s got a massive job ahead of him at the club.
“He’s been there what – two minutes? It shows a little bit of a lack of respect if you ask me.
“There’s nothing wrong with aspiring to play in the Premier League, but you’ve only just signed for Celtic – and there’s a massive job ahead to bring silverware back to Parkhead."
