Kyogo has appeared to hint he will be aiming to kickstart his Rennes career next season.
The former Celtic striker has had a miserable time of it so far since his £10million move to France in January.
Just two Ligue 1 starts and no goals was a far cry from his glittering time at the Hoops during which his net-bulging was a major contributory factor to Celtic's trophy dominance.
It was made harder when manager Jorge Sampaoli was sacked soon after the signing of Kyogo then claimed he had no say in the recruitment of the Japan international. Replacement Habib Beye went on to freeze the Hoops hero out.

Beye hinted at crunch talks to be held with the player and there has been a a feeling in France that Rennes would cut their losses this summer.
But Kyogo insists he's ready to hit the ground running in pre-season.
He is back in Japan for some downtime and was spotted watching former Vissel Kobe teammate Hotaru Yamaguchi in action as V-Varen Nagasaki took on Ehime FC.
Speaking to Excite, Kyogo said: "I was happy to get to meet someone I wanted to see while on the off-season and I was looking forward to seeing him play.
"I'll do my best, too, when I am back playing in pre-season."
