Kyogo Furuhashi gives Celtic a scare as star channels Japanese horror for hilarious prank on team-mates

Celtic star Kyogo Furuhashi got into the Halloween spirit by pranking his team-mates in a supposed video message for Japanese fans.

The forward's homeland is famous for its horror movies, with films like Grudge, Ring and Dark Water terrifying film fans across the world.

It's perhaps no surprise then that Kyogo was only too happy to terrify come of his Celtic team-mates, albeit with mixed results.

The 26-year-old is famed for his nice guy personality, making it a challenge to truly strike fear into the Parkhead personnel.

After an attempt to scare Greg Taylor the Scotland full-back advised: "You didn't get me there, did you? You're not scary, you're too nice, bro!"

Goalkeeper Joe Hart was similarly unmoved when Kyogo, wearing a scary mask, jumped out from behind a screen.

The former England international said: "Kyogo, what the f*** man? What a guy.

"He even did that nicely. You've got to be aggressive! When you get to here: aaargh!"

There were however some Celtic stars who were given the fright of their lives by the Japan international.

David Turnbull cringed away in fear as Kyogo jumped out at him but that was nothing compared to Anthony Ralston.

Sitting alongside Stephen Welsh, the right-back was bemused as the lights went out.

And while his centre-back team-mate spotted Kyogo creeping up, Ralston was none the wiser and almost fell out of his seat.

His reaction left all three players in stitches, with the defender stating: "I actually got a fright there! That was scary, man!"
