Celtic star pair Kyogo Furuhashi and Tom Rogic are set to square up in the World Cup qualifiers – and give Hoops boss Ange Postecoglou a headache.
The in-form duo are in the frame to get called up by Japan and Australia respectively, with the nations drawn together in the same qualifying group.
Kyogo and Rogic will go head to head when the countries meet on October 12, but they both face around-the-globe dashes during the next international breaks.
Furuhashi is a cert to be in the Japan squad that will host Oman on September 2 and then go to China on September 7 after notching three goals in six caps for his national side.
Rogic could be involved with the Socceroos on the same dates, up against China first and then in Vietnam.
But the pair then face a gruelling dash to get back from the Far East with Celtic back in Premiership action against Ross County at Parkhead just three days later.
It is a similar scenario in the October international break with Japan in Saudi Arabia and Australia at home to Oman before Kyogo and Rogic face off in Tokyo on October 12 – just three days before Celts take on Motherwell at Fir Park.
