Ange Postecoglou breathed a sigh of relief as he confirmed Kyogo 's injury isn't as bad as first feared.
The Japanese star was substituted on against Real Betis in the Europa League during the week but had to be taken off in the second half with a hamstring problem.
Celtic boss Postecoglou said after the game that it didn't look good - sparking fears he could miss a chunk of their packed festive fixture list.
And the Hoops were forced to start against Motherwell with David Turnbull leading the line with Albian Ajeti also injured.
But Postecoglou delivered an optimistic pre-match update on Kyogo as he said: “It’s not a significant one. Albian Ajeti is definitely more significant.
“With Kyogo we will play it on a day by day scenario and see how he recovers.
“Look at this stage we have a couple who will be out for a while.
“Off the top of my head, I guess Kyogo is probably the one people are most anxious about.
“As I said it is not a long-term one. We will just wait and see how he recovers over the week and make a decision.”
