Celtic have been rocked by a huge blow in their dead-rubber Europa League match with Real Betis as Kyogo Furuhashi joins the club's growing injury list.
Albian Ajeti started in place of the Japanese frontman as Ange Postecoglou rang the changes for the Hoops' final Group G match.
Already out of the competition and with a Europa Conference League place booked, Furuhashi was forced off the bench in the first half with Ajeti pulling his hamstring.
It was a risk so early in the match and now Celtic are left to suffer the potential consequences.
Furuhashi pulled up in the middle of the pitch after an energetic tackle and upon trying to continue, he was subbed and left the pitch with his head in his hands.
Video replays showed Furuhashi clutching his hamstring as Postecoglou's side face a massive month.
Motherwell are next in Premiership action this Sunday, but there's plenty of football to be played beyond the match with the Lanarkshire side this weekend.
Hibs come in the Premier Sports Cup final a week on Sunday and a title-defining encounter against Rangers is looming in the New Year, with plenty of Premiership matches in-between.
Celtic are already missing Jota and Anthony Ralston with injury.
