Kym Marsh teases Coronation Street return after fans demanded her comeback

Kym Marsh has teased a Coronation Street return after fans demanded her comeback this week.

The actress, who played Michelle Connor in the ITV soap, quit after 13 years on the cobbles in 2019.

But Kym has said that doesn't mean its the end of feisty Michelle's time in Weatherfield.

Speaking to  Entertainment Daily, Kym admitted that she just needed a 'breather' from the show.

"I really do miss everyone, I really miss the street," she told the publication.

"When I left I always said I'd come back one day and I will. I just needed to get out and take a little breather and do some other things. I have no doubt that one day I'll go back there and dip my toe back in."

Though Kym hasn't been short of work since having fronted shows for the BBC as well as brand new show Morning Live with Gethin Jones.

"I have been really busy and I've been so fortunate, but obviously the year I left was really weird," Kym added.

"I left in October 2019 and went straight into doing loads of other bits and bobs and I had loads of stuff planned for the year after that obviously all fell through. I thought, oh no, what a year to leave!"

Kym's admission comes after Corrie fans demanded her character return to the street to bring down Ray Crosby.

Fans reckon Michelle should storm back to the street to help bring her sleazy former boss down after he manipulated teenage waitress Faye Windass into sleeping with him and later attempted to rape her in his office.
