Kym Marsh shows off her son's impressive weight loss

Coronation Street star Kym Marsh has showed off her son David’s impressive weight loss, saying she's 'so proud' of her eldest child.

Kym, who plays Michelle Connor in Corrie, has shared impressive before and after photos of David, 24, wearing the same green top in both pictures to reveal how much weight he's lost.

And the proud mum has praised her boy on the difference.

She told her followers: "I am so so so so sooooooooo proud of my son!!! Just look at the difference!!! you have absolutely smashed it kiddo! You look fantastic!!!"

Doting mum Kym is set to become a first-time grandmother after announcing that her daughter Emilie, 22, is expecting a baby.

And she recently celebrated her youngest daughter Polly's eighth birthday.

Sharing a photo of Polly in hospital as a tiny baby she said: "8 years ago today I was blessed with the most amazing gift I could have ever wished for. My beautiful Polly was born.

"My little girl doesn’t even know how very special she is. She saved me. She brought me light through such darkness, my sunshine, my absolute world."

Kym feared she might also lose Polly after the tragic death of her baby boy Archie in 2009 at 21 weeks.

A year after Archie died she felt “brave enough” to try for another baby and was placed under the care of St Mary’s, Manchester’s specialist centre for obstetrics and neonatal care when she became pregnant with Polly.

The Coronation Street favourite was terrified to discover she had a condition that meant there was a strong possibility that she could go into premature labour again but she went on to give birth to her “little fighter and miracle” Polly in March 2011 following 33 weeks of pregnancy, weighing 4lbs 1oz.

However shortly after Polly was delivered she was experiencing breathing difficulties and had to be placed on a ventilator.

Coronation Street's Beverley Callard accidentally lets slip that Jim McDonald is returning to the soap

“Thankfully Polly only needed ventilating for a short time and we realised quite quickly that she was one of the lucky ones," said Kym previously while thanking the "true angels" working at St Mary's for saving her life.
