Kym Marsh says Justin Timberlake 'not to blame' for drunk hand-holding incident

Kym Marsh has weighed into the controversy sparked by photographs of Justin Timberlake

Pop star Justin - who is married to Jessica Biel - was snapped on a work night out with Palmer star Alisha Wainwright, who stroked his leg.

But Kym, who was previously married to Jamie Lomas, says it would be 'silly' to make 'wild accusations' about what's going on and that Justin shouldn't be judged too harshly.

Speaking in her column for OK! Magazine, Kym said: "I've got lots of male friends who are genuinely just mates and I'd give them a cuddle without thinking any of it."

The actress also said she and Corrie co-star Alison King, who plays Carla Connor in the soap, hold hands all the time.

"And I sit on her knee too for no reason," said Kym. "Is that Okay because she's female?" she questioned.

Insiders close to Justin said he was feeling 'guilty' after seeing the pictures and admitted he had 'too much drink and got carried away'.

Of his marriage to Jessica Biel, the source said: "Their marriage will survive. He feels guilty and will make it up to her."

Kym, 43, is currently happily loved-up with military man Scott Ratcliffe, who she has been dating since July 2018.

Speaking in her magazine column, Kym said that in the age of social media it's hard for thing to stay private with mobile phones allowing events to be easily filmed and shared.

Kym revealed she'd burned like Justin when an embarrassing video of her rapping at her daughter Emilie's 22nd birthday was filmed and posted on Snapchat.

"I don't know sho did that but it was a bit of a shame because it was a private party in my home. That's the problem with social media - you lose control of your privacy," mused Kym.

Kym is currently bracing herself for new career ventures after deciding to leave Coronation Street after 14 years.

The actress will be starring in Elf - The Musical this Christmas and has also filmed her first movie The Loss Adjuster with Bros star Luke Goss.
