Kym Marsh reflects on difficult pregnancy with Polly and being a grandmother at 43

Coronation Street's Kym Marsh has taken to Instagram to gush about daughter Polly and baby grandson Teddy.

The actress documented her pregnancy struggles with her daughter Polly and she admitted she never thought she would be a grandmother by the age of 43.

She shared a snap with her 271,000 followers of Polly, eight, and baby Teddy. Teddy is the son of Kym's second born child Emilie.

In the black and white photo, Teddy was held up by his auntie Polly in a loving embrace.

The Michelle Connor actress doted on her daughter as she recalled how she "nearly lost her many times" throughout her pregnancy.

She captioned the photo: "My beautiful baby girl and my beautiful grandson!

"This picture stirs so many emotions. I am beyond proud of these gorgeous children. Polly is my rainbow baby, nearly lost her many times throughout my pregnancy and yet here she is.

"She's a beautiful little whirlwind and I thank God for her every day! I don't know what my life would be without her! And now she is a happy healthy 8 yr old Aunty to our gorgeous Teddy."

Kym went on to say that a grandma wasn't something she expected to be by now.

She continued: "I never thought I would have a grandchild so soon but boy am I glad I have him. He has brought so much joy to my life and I feel incredibly lucky.

"I hope I will always make them both proud. I hope I can teach them things in life and I hope they will always love me the way I love them. I am truly blessed! #feelingthankful."

Besides Emilie, 22, and Polly, Kym has David, 24, and Archie, 10.

Kym featured on The Chase's Corrie special last night, alongside co-stars Jack P Shepherd, Daniel Brocklebank and Shelley King.

Viewers were left shocked by Shelley's admission to host Bradley Walsh .

Bradley asked her as she stepped up to the podium: "How long have you been in Coronation Street ?"

"Five years," Shelley answered.

Bradley enquired: "Big storylines or not so big?"

Shelley laughed: "There are some very juicy things going to happen to me very soon."

Bradley looked confused and asked: "Why are you saying it like that?"

"Because I want to excite you!" she joked, sending the audience into hysterics.
