Ex-Coronation Street Star, Kym Marsh, made a personal announcement via Instagram this morning.
She congratulated her parents on their 56th wedding anniversary as she pours her heart out over how proud she is of their long-standing relationship.
"You make me proud every single day!" She wrote in an Instagram post.
She added: "Your love and devotion to each other is beyond compare. Life hasn't always been easy for you over the years and you have overcome a lot, but you've done it Together side by side as always.
"Dad, your strength lately has been astonishing, you're going through so much but you're doing it with a smile on your face and I know that's largely down to mum's love and support.
"You're an amazing team and I'm so much grateful to have you as my parents. So, today we celebrate you!
"Happy anniversary to the most perfect couple there is! We love you both, you are and always will be our world."
David Marsh, Kym's father, was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer earlier this year which was revealed after a delayed check-up due to the coronavirus pandemic.
In the pre-recorded video with her father in June, Kym said: "You have always taught me to be strong and not to take things lying down...sink or swim." To which, Dave replied: "What's the saying? You've only got one life, look after it and live it."
"I'm in absolute awe of you, dad," the presenter added before they shared an emotional hug.
"I'm going nowhere," he confessed, while Kym remarked: "I know you're not. You can't leave me."
