Kym Marsh denies she's The Fox on The Masked Singer... viewers are convinced they've worked it out

Kym Marsh has taken to Twitter to deny rumours she's The Fox on the hit show The Masked Singer.

The former Corrie says she 'can't wait' for the show to be over after being repeatedly asked if she's masquerading as musical silver fox who can definitely belt out a tune.

Kym, who recently left Coronation Street after almost 14 years playing Michelle Connor, tweeted: "I AM NOTTTTT!!!! I cannot wait for this to be over!! It’s NOT me!!!"

Her tweet was in response to a viewer who wrote: "I know exactly who it is @msm4rsh is the fox."

He jokingly replied to her: "You'd say that anyway."

"If another person says this sentence, the woman will explode," said another fan.

It may not be Kym, who had a musical career before Corrie as a member of the chart-topping pop band Hear'Say, but The Masked Singer fans think they might have worked out The Fox's true identity.

Fingers are also pointing at Denise van Outen, who presented The Big Breakfast and played Roxie Hart in the musical Chicago in the West End and on Broadway.

One of the clues for Fox was an 'award-winning body'.

One viewer explained about this and other clues: "Denise Van Outen. Topped a poll for best bikini body in 2007, played Roxie Hart in Chicago on Broadway and in the West End. Collects teapots. Runner up on Strictly.

"Definitely Denise van Outen. She has performed in "West End and Broadway and in 99 was rear of the year and won awards for best bikini body," said another.

Every Saturday the panel - Jonathan Ross, chart-topper Rita Ora, presenter Davina McCall and Hollywood actor and comedian Ken Jeong - try to guess which celebs are underneath the elaborate costumes as they sing for them.

So far EastEnders star Patsy Palmer was unveiled as the butterfly, the chameleon was The Darkness singer Justin Hawkins, the pharaoh was unmasked as former home secretary Alan Johnson and the tree was former England footballer Teddy Sheringham.
