Kym Marsh has come out in support of The Wanted's Max George and Stacey Giggs relationship - and their ten year age gap.
The singer confirmed his romance with Ryan Giggs' ex wife Stacey over the weekend in an interview, a few weeks after posting a loved-up holiday snap on his Instagram account.
Max, 30 and Stacey, 40, have been dating for a couple of months and the Swinton-born popstar told the Press Association it has made him "really happy" to be in a stable relationship.
And Coronation Street star Kym has had her say on the pairs age-gap and said it's the same as hers with partner Scott Ratcliff.
Writing in her OK! Magazine column, the 42-year-old actress said: "Stacey Giggs [Ryan Giggs' former wife] and Max George from The Wanted are dating. She’s 40 and he’s 30, so they've got the same age gap as Scott and I.
"Love is love and age is just a number. If two people are happy and in love and they get along well then that’s all that matters.
"And anyway, different people mature at different rates. You get the odd comment like, ‘you've got a toy boy’ and it's nonsense. It's so old fashioned."
In a different interview, Max himself also commented on the couples age difference in the magazine.
He said: "So far I love it! I don’t think about it. It's just a number. I feel like she's younger than me. She's great."
The former boyband member also declared that he was "punching" admitting he asked Stacey out as "there's no way she'd have asked me".
Max, who used to be engaged to Corrie and Our Girl star Michelle Keegan, was reportedly introduced to Stacey after he moved back to Manchester from Las Vegas at the end of last year, following his split from model and former Miss Oklahoma Carrie Baker.
Stacey and Welsh national football team coach Ryan, who share two children Liberty, 16, and Zach, 12, ended their nine year marriage in 2017 after he was caught in a tabloid scandal when it emerged that he carried out an eight-year affair with Natasha, the wife of his brother Rhodri, as well as an extra-marital romance with former Big Brother star Imogen Thomas.
