Kym Marsh has defended the age gap between her and toy boy boyfriend Scott Ratcliffe, who is 11 years her junior.
The Coronation Street star, 42, started dating the army major last summer after they were set up by her co-star Anthony Cotton, who plays Sean Tully in the soap.
Scott was away on a tour of duty when they first started talking but she surprised him off the plane and they fell for each other.
Kym called the word toyboy "insulting" to her Glaswegian partner, who she described as "intelligent" and "mature".
She told Fabulous magazine: "It’s actually quite insulting to him.

"Because he’s a very intelligent, mature, articulate man who absolutely knows where he wants to be in life.”
Kym admitted that she was in love with Scott and said she liked the unconventional way they met.
She added: "After a few dates, you might end up in bed together. Whatever. But when did you get to know the person down the line?
“So the way we met was really weird, but it was a wonderful way of getting to know someone."
On Saturday Kym revealed that she'd become a grandmother for the first time.
Her daughter Emilie gave birth to a baby boy on Friday with Kym by her side.
