Kym Marsh cheered by revellers as she takes to the mic on hen night with Hear'Say classic

Kym Marsh was cheered by revellers as she relived her pop star days during her hen do.

The former Coronation Street star was spotted enjoying herself over the weekend in Manchester's gay village as she builds up to her wedding day.

Kym's partner Scott Ratcliff popped the question on her 45th birthday in June.

The BBC Morning Live presenter and Scott, a major in the army Parachute Regiment, announced the news with a sweet Instagram post.

The couple began dating back in 2018 after being introduced by their mutual friend Antony Cotton, who plays Sean Tully in Corrie.

And the preparations for the big day appears to be in full swing as Kym got her friends together for her hen night.

A TikTok video, uploaded by users almay327, shows Kym wearing a white dress and veil as she belted out Pure and Simple, Hear'Say's first number one single, to a crowd of people.

"Not kym marsh singing pure and simple on her hen night in the gay village," a caption across the video read.

And the crowd couldn't help but join in the rendition.

Kym told OK! Magazine after the engagement earlier this year that the big day was all booked for later this year and will be a military-themed wedding.

She also said her dad is "absolutely determined" to walk her down the aisle after she revealed his cancer diagnosis.

Kym and her dad Dave recorded a film for BBC's Morning Live, which Kym hosts alongside Gethin Jones, showing her dad talk about being told he had advanced prostrate cancer.

Dave, 76, put off visiting the GP when the coronavirus pandemic hit and his wife, Pauline, said he was "so stubborn".

Kym has been missing from Morning Live since July with Strictly Come Dancing star Jannette Manrara stepping in.

But her absence from the topical live series, which is set to relocate to Salford from January 2022, has since been explained.
