Kym Marsh is 'over the moon' as she announces her engagement to partner Scott Ratcliff.
The former Coronation Street star says she 'can't stop smiling' after soldier Scott's romantic birthday proposal.
Scott, a major in the army Parachute Regiment, popped the question to his partner of three years as they celebrated her birthday.
BBC One's Morning Live presenter Kym told OK! : "I'm absolutely over the moon - I can't believe it.
"It's been the best birthday surprise ever. I can't stop smiling!"
The Pride of Manchester host was introduced to Scott by their mutual pal Antony Cotton, who plays Sean Tully in Corrie, and they started dating in 2018.
She and Scott chatted on the phone first because he was away working before meeting up in person.
Last year Kym, who played Michelle Connor in Corrie until 2019, shared her joy at being back in Scott's arms after he was on tour in Afghanistan for seven months.
The 44-year-old star said: "Seven months apart but it’s amazing to see how our relationship has grown despite the distance."
She previously told OK! she believed they were were 'made for each other.'
"We don’t argue, we’re similar, we laugh at the same things. We’re used to time apart but despite that we’re as close as we are,” she said.
And Kym previously defended their age gap.
“Scott is 32 and I'm almost 44, I hate when people describe him as my 'toy boy', as I think it's patronising to him!" she said.
"Men are often with much younger women and no one bats an eyelid, but when it's the reverse, people seem to judge.
"I'm in the best relationship of my life and Scott and I have so much in common. Age is just a number."
Kym has a son David and daughers Emilie and Polly.
In 2019 Kym's eldest daughter Emilie Cunliffe and her partner Mikey Hoszowskyj welcomed their baby boy Teddy in May 2019.
Kym chose the name 'Loli' instead of grandmother, grandma, nan and nanny.
