Kylie Minogue wows in stunning purple gown as she attends bushfire fundraiser

Kylie Minogue stunned onlookers as she attended a benefit dinner for Australia’s bushfires draped in statement purple satin gown.

The 51-year-old pop queen beamed for the cameras in her elegant dress as she made her way to the American Australian Association Arts Awards Dinner 2020 in New York on Thursday 30.

She paired the outfit with simple silver jewelry and a natural flowing hairstyle as she was all smiles for the cameras.

Kylie attended the event with her boyfriend, the Creative Director of GQ, Paul Solomons.

The pair couldn’t get enough of each other as Kylie left the event grinning hand in hand with her beau.

The Australian star was there to receive the AAA Excellence in the Arts Award, alongside the author Peter Carey and actor Jacob Elordi.

Among the star-studded crowd who headed to last night’s charity gala were also Zendaya, Katie Holmes and Deborah Watts.

All the proceeds from last night’s gala are going to be donated to the Australian Bushfire Relief Fund, which has been set up to help with recovery programmes and emergency assistance to the fires.

Kylie, who originally found fame for her role in the Australian soap Neighbours, has been a loud campaigner for raising awareness of her native country’s ongoing crisis.

At the start of this month the Love At First Sight singer revealed she had donated $500,000 in support of the firefighters and relief efforts that continue across the country.

She took to social media to express her ‘heartbreak’ at returning to Australia amid such devastation.

“Big or small, from near or far, any support will help those affected by the devastating bushfires,” she urged on Instagram alongside a picture of herself set against a smoky Australian landscape.

Over a billion animals are believed to have perished and at least 33 people have died as a result of the wild fires that continue to ravage Australia.

Just this morning the Australian Capital Territory, the region where the country’s capital city is located, declared a state of emergency for the worst fire threat in two decades.
