Kylie Minogue has been announced as the headliner of Brighton Pride festival 2019.
The pop icon will perform at the Pride In The Park event on Saturday August 3 as part of this year’s celebrations, which run from August 2-4. Clean Bandit will support Minogue at Preston Park on the night.
Brighton Pride’s LoveBN1Fest event, taking place on Sunday August 4, will also feature performances from the likes of Grace Jones and Jessie J.
Last year’s event was headlined by Britney Spears, who performed to a crowd of 57,000 people and appeared to forget where she was during the show. Ella Eyre, Pixie Lott, Jess Glynne and Nile Rogers were also on the bill.
Approximately 300,000 people attended Brighton Pride in 2018, with many revellers experiencing extensive transport difficulties when leaving the festival.
Brighton Pride is the biggest Pride festival in the UK, and has been working to promote diversity and celebrate LGBTQ+ communities all over the world since launching in the early 90s.
This year’s headliner, Minogue, is also set to embark on an extensive UK tour later this summer, with dates at Hampton Court Palace in London in June.
The singer is one of the most celebrated female solo artists in pop, having sold more than 80 million records worldwide and achieved seven UK number one singles.
