Kylie Jenner slammed for 'profiting from pandemic' as she unveils £5 hand sanitiser

Kylie Jenner has been slammed by stunned fans who accused the reality star of 'profiting from the pandemic' by launching her own brand of hand sanitiser.

The 23-year-old Keeping Up With The Kardashians star was excited to reveal to fans that she had released a new Kylie Skin hand sanitiser in a baby pink spray bottle.

The mum of one sent social media into meltdown when she unveiled her latest product on social media, available at the cost of $7 (£5.14).

While many fans couldn't wait to get their hands on the hand sanitiser, some followers criticised the move - arguing that she was 'profiting from the pandemic'.

On Tuesday, Kylie confirmed that the hand sanitiser had dropped on her beauty website.

She wrote: "my @kylieskin hand sanitizer is here!! White heart 80% alcohol, fast drying, and formulated with glycerin to prevent dryness!"

However, fans were quick to criticise the move.

"Kylie really made kylie skin hand sanitizer............. like ? Let’s profit off a pandemic," wrote one follower.

"kylie jenner really out here selling HAND SANITIZER as if it’s something special," added another.

A third joked: "or 4 interest free payments of 1.75 you could have your very own overpriced kylie sanitizer... Kylie’s selling hand sanitizer now lol jeezus. And mf’s gonna buy it.."

Another wrote: "Can you release a vaccine already?"

A representative for Kylie has been contacted by The Mirror for further comment.

Kylie is not the only Kardashian-Jenner star to have come under fire for appearing to cash in on the ongoing pandemic.

Back in March 2020, half-sister Kim Kardashian came under fire for trying to promote her Skims collection in a post where she committed $1 million to the coronavirus relief fund.
