Kylian Mbappe sends message to Lionel Messi over European Golden Shoe race

Kylian Mbappe is not losing any sleep over Lionel Messi's latest goals as the two superstars race to win the European Golden Shoe.

In fact, the Paris Saint-Germain attacker is so confident he joked that he interrupted his nap to watch Messi score a brace in Barcelona's final La Liga match of the season.

Messi currently leads the race for the prize handed to the top goalscorer from all of Europe's top divisions, with French ace Mbappe in second place.

Mbappe is four behind Messi after the Argentine scored both Barcelona's goals in their 2-2 draw against Eibar on Sunday.

However, while Messi's league campaign is over, Mbappe has a game left to overtake his rival, with PSG away to Reims in their final Ligue 1 clash on Friday.

"I still have 90 mins, I have nothing to lose!"
