Kylian Mbappe says he's proud of tribute from Liverpool's 'amazing' Trent Alexander-Arnold

Liverpool-linked Kylian Mbappe loves that he is an influential figure at Anfield.

The self-proclaimed Paris St Germain superstar has been singing the praises of Jurgen Klopp's side in an extensive interview with BBC Sport in which he describes them as “a machine.”

While the France World Cup winner remained coy about his future, speculation over a potential transfer to Anfield continues despite Klopp insisting publicly that he did not believe a deal could be done.

Liverpool's new major kit deal with Nike left many suggesting that a big-name signing like Mbappe could follow suit and the player himself seems to be on pretty friendly terms with the Reds current squad.

When scoring for Liverpool to cap their 4-0 demolition of former manager Brendan Rodgers' Leicester City in their top-of-the-table clash on Boxing Day, home-grown hero Trent Alexander-Arnold adopted an Mbappe-style arms-folded celebration.

The tribute from a fellow pro who was also born in 1998, received Mbappe's seal of approval.

Having liked a Tweet referencing the Reds right-back's pose at the time , recalling the moment brought him out in fits of giggles.

When asked about Alexander-Arnold's copycat routine, a clearly tickled Mbappe said: “I saw that! I'm proud. This guy is amazing.”
