Kylian Mbappe's positive response to Jurgen Klopp amid £250m Liverpool transfer talk

Kylian Mbappe once labelled Jurgen Klopp a "machine" as he heaped praise on the way he has his Liverpool team firing on all cylinders.

European champions Liverpool were unbeaten in the Premier League at the time, and a staggering 16 points clear of their nearest rivals.

"What Liverpool do in this moment is amazing," Mbappe told the BBC. "They're like a machine, they've found a rhythm and are like we play again, we play again.

"They've lost zero games. When you watch you think everything is easy but that's not easy. The guys are focused, they play games every three days and they win, they win, they win.

"Now the problem is that everybody watches Liverpool, and everybody watches what we can do against them, so now they have to show they are strong again but it's a very good team with a very good manager."

Mbappe has this Tuesday been linked with a world-record £250million transfer to Liverpool, should Sadio Mane sign for Real Madrid.

According to The Sun, Mane is at the top of Zinedine Zidane's transfer wishlist and Los Blancos are teeing up a £150million bid.

Mane is expected to remain at Anfield, but should Real Madrid entice him to the Bernabeu then Liverpool will turn their attention to Mbappe.

The France World Cup winner would set the Reds back £250million, while his wages would cost an additional £400,000-a-week.

Liverpool are in a position to fund the world-record transfer though, as they are expected to make £100m per year after signing a lucrative deal with Nike.
