Kylian Mbappe's Paris Saint-Germain transfer latest as club issue response to exit claims

Paris Saint-Germain insist star man Kylian Mbappe will remain at the club next season.

The Ligue 1 side's defiant message comes in the wake of the striker's outburst during his Ligue 1 Player of the Year acceptance speech when he claimed he could be heading to a "new project elsewhere".

The forward was asked to further explain his comments and the World Cup winner responded: "I said what I had to say.

"When you are in such an occasion you can send messages, I think I have sent mine.”

Now the European giants have moved to quell any further speculation with an empathic statement regarding the future of Mbappe at the Parc Des Princes.

PSG said: "Very strong ties have united Paris Saint-Germain and Kylian Mbappe for two years and this story will continue together also next season.

" With the shared ambition to write the history of European football, in the year of the 50th anniversary of PSG, a long awaited moment to write together a big page in the history of our club and in which everyone will have to do his part, always giving value to the collective."

Reports in France suggest Mbappe is growing tired of the dominance that Brazilian trio Neymar, Thiago Silva and Dani Alves hold within the dressing room.

Manager Tomas Tuchel was left stunned as he sat in the audience on Sunday and the barbed comments sent reverberations within the PSG boardroom with president Nasser Al-Khelaifi said to be unimpressed with the remarks.

Mbappe is regarded as the best young player in world football and netted 38 goals in 42 appearances this season.

The striker has been strongly linked with Real Madrid and Juventus in recent months.
