Kylian Mbappe in Liverpool admission as PSG superstar raves about Jurgen Klopp

World superstar Kylian Mbappe has paid Liverpool a glowing tribute after their incredible Premier League season.

The Paris Saint-Germain hero has been strongly linked with the Reds and Real Madrid over the past 12 months and he has been quick to praise Jurgen Klopp's side.

Mbappe was left frustrated at developments at the Parc des Princes but concedes his dream remains to secure Champions League glory for his current team.

But he also is full of admiration for Jurgen Klopp and his players who are aiming to secure their first title in 30 years when football gets back underway.

Speaking exclusively to the Mirror, he said: "This season Liverpool have been a machine in the Premier League. They have made winning look easy – but the truth is that is never easy.

"To be as ruthless as they have been would come from having a very good manager and lots of hard work in training. Performances like they have been having don’t just happen."

And the 21-year-old, a renowned student of the game, admits two legendary players stand out from the rest.

Mbappe has plumped for a Les Bleus legend and the superstar whose posters plastered his bedroom as a teenager as his top two.

He added: "First was Zidane for everything he achieved with the national team – and then it was Ronaldo. He has won so much and still continues to be a winner even after so much success.

"They have both left their mark in the history of the game – and I want to leave my own chapter in the history books."
