Kyler Murray’s limited work on Tuesday was precautionary

When the Arizona Cardinals took the field for practice on Tuesday, media members present for the open part of practice noted that quarterback Kyler Murray was off rehabbing to the side.

He injured his shoulder in the Cardinals’ Week 11 game last Thursday, although he did not miss a single snap. He reportedly has a sprained AC joint but it shouldn’t cause him to miss any games.

Murray is not worried, although he would not firmly commit to saying he is good to play on Sunday against the New England Patriots.

“Today I feel fine, I feel good,” he told reporters on Tuesday. “Just taking it day by day. I throw a lot throughout the day so we’re trying to limit those throws and precautionary, take care of my shoulder.”

Only doing a little throwing on Tuesday should be of no real concern to Cardinals fans. Because they were coming off a Thursday night game, they had a extra day of practice. If he is unable to practice Wednesday, then there will be more concern.

One should expect him to perhaps have limited work on Wednesday and then seen the workload amp up to full participation by Friday.

The first injury report of the week will be released Wednesday afternoon.
