Kyler Murray projected to have 25 total TDs, over 4,000 total yards as rookie

With quarterback Kyler Murray now drafted and signed by the Arizona Cardinals, many wonder what type of rookie season he could have. He has been lauded by the organization for both his passing skills and running skills.

What will that project to in 2019 as a rookie who should be the starting quarterback?

According to the fantasy football projections of ESPN’s Mike Clay, Murray will be extremely productive: He will throw for 3,798 yards, 22 touchdowns and 14 interceptions; additionally, he will gain 558 yards on the ground and score three more touchdowns.

Since the team moved to Arizona in 1988, only Carson Palmer and Kurt Warner have passed for as many yards or touchdowns as Murray is projected to have as a rookie.

In fact, 22 touchdown passes would be the 11th-best season in franchise history; the 3,798 passing yards would be the sixth-best season ever for the Cardinals; and the 558 rushing yards would be a franchise record for a quarterback in a season.
