Kyler Murray has official visit with Cardinals Wednesday

The Arizona Cardinals have hosted top draft prospects Nick Bosa and Quinnen Williams for their official visits with the team in Tempe. It was only a matter of time before quarterback Kyler Murray had his visit.

According to NFL Network’s Mike Garofolo, Murray is headed to Arizona Tuesday for his official visit Wednesday.

Arizona Sports 98.7 FM’s John Gambadoro reported last week that Murray would have his visit this week.

This only adds fuel to the fire of the rumors the Cardinals will take him first overall in the NFL draft at the end of April.

If the Cardinals are set on making Murray the first overall pick, it would mean moving on from Josh Rosen, whom they drafted 10th overall a year ago after trading up to acquire him. Rosen was 3-10 in 13 starts and struggled, though he won over his teammates and management has referred to him multiple times as a franchise quarterback or quarterback of the future.

Teams have inquired about Rosen, but by all reports, the Cardinals have not openly shopped Rosen or even indicated he would be made available for trade.

The Cardinals have begun their offseason program so depending on the schedule of Murray’s visit, he and Rosen might be in the building at the same time.
