Kyler Murray has better MVP odds than David Johnson

One would have to imagine that, after the season the Arizona Cardinals had in 2018, no one would believe anyone on their team could have a chance at being the MVP of the coming season. That doesn’t stop Vegas from placing odds on such things.

Two Cardinals players are among those given MVP odds at the Westgate Las Vegas Superbook. Who the players are will not surprise you. The odds might.

Running back David Johnson and quarterback Kyler Murray are given odds but it is Murray who is given better odds.

He is listed at 100/1 for the MVP, the same as other notable players in the league like Aaron Donald, Von Miller, Khalil Mack and others.

Johnson, on the other hand, is listed at 200/1.

The full list is shown below in a tweet.

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is the odds-on favorite at 4/1. Some believe Murray can have a Mahomes-type impact on the game. Perhaps that won’t happen during his rookie season.

It wouldn’t be wise for anyone to actually place a wager on either player but if you were to throw $20 down on Murray and you came away with $2000, that wouldn’t be so bad, would it?
