Kyle Walker targeted by Inter Milan and more Man City transfer rumours

While the Premier League may now be back up and running, there still remains speculation over who may be moving clubs in the upcoming transfer window.

And it is no different at Manchester City, as they prepare for the Premier League game against Burnley on Monday evening, here are today’s transfer rumours coming out of the Etihad Stadium.

The Sun claims that City full-back Kyle Walker is one of Inter Milan’s top targets this summer as they look to bolster their defence.

The England man was named in the starting lineup for the 3-0 win against Arsenal on Wednesday night after holding talks with Pep Guardiola over his behaviour during the suspension of fixtures.

Now, it's claimed Inter manager Antonio Conte wants to try and offer him a new challenge in Italy and join other former Premier League stars including Christian Eriksen and Romelu Lukaku at the San Siro.

However, the report suggests that City will be unwilling to cash in on the defender this upcoming window with the club unlikely to be wanting to look to replace two right-backs amid the probable sale of Joao Cancelo.

Walker’s contract at the Etihad Stadium runs until 2024 after he signed a new deal last year.

Meanwhile, according to Sport Bild, Bayern Munich have made an offer of €40 million (£36.2m) to Man City for Leroy Sane, but there is no agreement in place over the fee for the player between the two clubs.

Pep Guardiola revealed that Sane has rejected a new contract at City ahead of the game against Arsenal, meaning that the German international will be available on a free transfer at the end of next season.

City are prepared to sell Sane if an acceptable transfer fee is received, but if that doesn't happen then they will keep him at the Etihad and allow him to leave for free next summer.
