Kyle Walker 'should have been sent off for headbutt' on Alireza Jahanbakhsh, say BBC pundits

Kyle Walker should have been sent off for an apparent headbutt on Alireza Jahanbakhsh.

That was the verdict of Arsenal legend Martin Keown as the Manchester City defender escaped a VAR red card review during the FA Cup semi-final clash with Brighton at Wembley.

And Keown felt England ace Walker was lucky to stay on the pitch.

“He should have been sent off,” said Keown on co-commentary duty for BBC.

“When you see the slow-mo, he leans his head in. He gets away with it.”

Alan Shearer added: "He was very, very lucky not to get a red card."

“Any other ref could have quite possibly given him a straight red card there,” said BBC pundit Jermaine Jenas.
