Kyle Walker has paid tribute to Liverpool following their Premier League victory but warned them that Manchester City will be desperate to reclaim their crown.
The Reds have been relentless in their pursuit of the top flight title having been pipped last term.
City have struggled to reach the levels of recent years which has allowed Liverpool to win the league unopposed.
Their 2-1 defeat at Chelsea saw Pep Guardiola's side finally surrender their title and Walker concedes it "hurt" to watch the Reds celebrate their success.
He tweeted : "Last night hurt but full respect and congratulations to @LFC on winning the @premierleague title. It's a great feeling lifting that trophy and next year we will come back stronger and determined to win it back."

City can still win three trophies this term having already won the Carabao Cup.
Newcastle await them in the last eight of the FA Cup and they retain ambitions of lifting the Champions League trophy.
But Guardiola admitted they fell short of a third straight league title because they simply weren't consistent enough.
“Big congratulations to Liverpool for this great season and the title they won," said the Catalan.

“We are not consistent like the previous seasons. Liverpool, they played every game as if it is their last game, we didn’t play that way.
"They were confident and played that way all the way through the season.”
City got the better of Liverpool in the season's curtain raising Commuity Shield at Wembley.
A penalty shootout win after a 1-1 draw in normal time suggested another tight title race was in store.
But it never materialised and Liverpool could yet break a host of records currently held by City's all conquering side of 2017/18.
