Kyle Walker has reflected on the season where Manchester City finished the Premier League campaign with 100 points but admits the achievement is still yet to sink in.
While at Tottenham the 31-year-old developed from a full-back with elite potential to one of the best players in his position in the league.
In his final season in north London, he was one of four Spurs players named in the PFA Team of the Season, placing him at the top of the list for Pep Guardiola, who had relied mostly on Bacary Sagna in his first season in charge of City.
Walker moved to City in a £50million deal, the most expensive transfer for a full-back in league history at the time, and went from strength to strength under Guardiola, becoming a fixture in a side that won the League Cup and the Premier League with 100 points, the first and only team to date to achieve the feat.
And Walker has reflected on his first season at the Etihad Stadium, admitting the incredible accomplishment is still yet to sink in completely.
"It was brilliant. Listen, we won the Carabao Cup, the Premier League, 100 points, centurions. Never to have been done," he said on BT Sport's 'What I Wore' show.
"In that moment in time, nor now, I have not appreciated what we have achieved at this club in the short period of time. You're constantly within it, day to day. I am coming into work and grafting to put out the best performances you can on a Saturday.
"When I retire and look back at it, I'll think, 'you know what? That was a very, very special team I was in."
MEN Sport's chief City writer Stuart Brennan believes the Centurion season was the most impressive accomplishment in the history of the Premier League, surpassing Arsenal's Invincible side.
He wrote: "Going the entire season unbeaten is a phenomenal feat, and no-one is trying to take the shine off what that fabulous Arsenal team did. But, especially in an age when there are three points for a win and one for a draw, going unbeaten does not even make you a certainty to end up as champions!
"Parachute Arsenal's 2003/04 team into last season, and they would finish a full TEN points behind City."
A feat that had never been done before and may never be done again, City's 100 point season was a crowning moment of the last decade.
