Kyle Van Noy bashes Rams for lack of creativity in SBLIII

Super Bowl LIII was definitely a defensive masterpiece for the New England Patriots. But should more credit be given to the gameplan set in place for the Patriots, or the lack of one for the Rams?

According to linebacker Kyle Van Noy, the latter seems to be the answer.

While appearing on the “Pardon My Take” podcast, Van Noy threw shade at Los Angeles for failing to add any wrinkles to their offensive gameplan to confuse New England defensively.

“I couldn’t believe that,” Van Noy said. “They really didn’t do — not one wrinkle. I was like, ‘What the hell?’ They’ve got so many good players, they’ve got so many things they’ve done all year, and the one play they gave us which was a wrinkle was the [Brandin] Cooks screen that hit for a little bit.

“And that was it… Or maybe too, we were playing so good they were like, ‘[Expletive], we don’t know what to do.’”

Van Noy has now confirmed what we all had assumed; that the Rams essentially had no answers on offense, and it turns out that part of it was because they didn’t really add anything new to their offensive gameplan. They wanted to try to beat New England the same way they had beaten every other team during the season. But this time it didn’t work out so well.
