Kyle Ure will remember Celtic Scottish Youth Cup win forever as he labels Hoops pals 'family'

Kyle Ure admits lifting the Scottish Youth Cup as Celtic captain will live with him forever as he hailed the 'family' feel to the squad.

The young Hoops came out on top in an 11-goal thriller at Hampden Park as they dumped rivals Rangers 6-5 in an incredible 120 minutes of action. The midfielder put in a man of the match display as the Under-18s skipper became the latest Parkhead star to lift silverware at Hampden - with Ange Postecoglou in the stands watching on.

The game was full of drama and end to end with many twists and turns over the course of the match at the national stadium. Ure admits it is an incredible feeling to lift the trophy as he hailed the dressing-room culture as 'tremendous' and 'brilliant' to be part of.

"The boys are just absolutely delighted. We stuck together as a team throughout the match, and got what we deserved by winning the cup!

‘"Friends, family and people from the Academy were all here to watch us tonight. Hopefully, we can help inspire the younger ones to go on and do the same.

“It was just a great night that I will remember for the rest of my life.”
