Kyle Turner joins Raith Rovers on loan from Ross County

Ross County midfielder Kyle Turner has joined cinch Championship promotion hopefuls Raith on loan until the end of the season.

The 26-year-old has scored two goals in 23 appearances for the Staggies since his move to the Dingwall club from Partick Thistle last summer.

However, former Dunfermline and Airdrie player Turner has been used only as a substitute since Derek Adams replaced Malky Mackay as County boss in November and has been allowed to move to Stark’s Park for the remainder of the campaign.

A County statement said: “Everyone at the club wishes Kyle all the best in his loan move!”

Meanwhile, County have extended the loan deal of central defender Will Nightingale from AFC Wimbledon until the end of the season.

Nightingale has played 17 times for the cinch Premiership side this season.

County earlier announced that Scott High had returned to Huddersfield after making just two substitute appearances for the Dingwall side.

Both clubs confirmed the loan deal had been ended prematurely after the midfielder suffered a hamstring injury.
