Kyle Rudolph to attend Vikings OTAs

Talks between the Vikings and tight end Kyle Rudolph regarding a contract extension don’t seem to be going anywhere.

But regardless, Rudolph is expected to take part in the team’s OTAs starting on Tuesday per Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network.

This doesn’t really come as much of a surprise. The best thing for both sides is to figure out a way to keep Rudolph in Minnesota. But Rudolph isn’t willing to take a pay cut and the Vikings just selected his likely replacement in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft.

We’ll see if anything progresses in Rudolph contract talks, or on the possibility of a trade.

Rudolph is in the last year of his contract and is set to make $7.6 million in 2019, which makes him the fifth-highest-paid tight end in the league.
