Kyle Magennis Hibs injury update as Jack Ross delivers disappointing news on midfielder

Kyle Magennis will be missing for Hibs for a while longer with the midfielder no closer to a return to action.

The former St Mirren man hasn't featured for the Easter Road club since their 1-0 home Premiership win over St Johnstone back in September.

A groin issue has kept him out for almost three months now.

Jack Ross had been hopeful that the 23-year-old would be back in action sooner after being able to return to running.

Bt he hasn't been able to join in full training and the Hibees boss confirmed that he's no closer to full fitness, much to his frustration.

Ross said: “Kyle Magennis remains out. He’s still not close. It’s hugely frustrating for him and for me.

“There’s been little signs of progression but at the moment there’s nothing imminent regarding a return date.”

Hibs are back in action tomorrow night when they travel to Livingston.

The Leith side have won just two of their last nine games following Saturday's 1-1 draw against Motherwell.
