Kyle Magennis completes Hibs move as Jack Ross raids former club for their captain for undisclosed fee

HIbernian have completed the signing of St Mirren midfielder Kyle Magennis for an undisclosed fee.

The former Buddies skipper has put pen to paper on a five-year deal at Easter Road.

Magennis links up with Jack Ross once again having played under him in Paisley and in fact was even handed his senior debut by the current Leith gaffer.

There’s also a reunion with ex-Saint Paul McGinn, who made the switch to the capital from the Simple Digital Arena last January.

Scotland Under 21 international Magennis made 105 appearances in total in black and white, netting seven goals during a spell at the club that began way back in 2004 as a youth player.

He’s in line for his Hibs debut next Wednesday when they kick off their Betfred Cup group stage campaign at home to Highland League champions Brora Rangers.

More to follow.
